Sallie Dent Porth of Cameron, South Carolina, makes jams and simple syrups under the Sallie’s Greatest brand. She has won Garden & Gun Made in the South awards, and her jam has been one of Oprah’s Favorite Things. We just tried her fig, sweet onion and rosemary jam, and now we’re ready to declare it a favorite, too. It’s crunchy, from the fig seeds captured in the jam, and lightly savory, due to the onion, apple cider vinegar, rosemary and black pepper. This is not an overly sweet jam, so it’s perfect for your charcuterie board, tucking inside a grilled cheese sandwich or mixing into a vinaigrette to dress a fall salad with apples and pecans. Blackberry Spice Sage French 75 Cocktail
1 oz. Cognac or gin
¾ oz. lemon juice
3/4 oz. Blackberry Spice + Sage Simple Syrup
4 oz. Brut Champagne

Mint leaves
2 oz. rum
1 oz. lemon or lime juice

3-4 cucumber slices
Club Soda
Add mint leaves and cucumber slices in a highball glass; muddle. Add rum, juice, syrup to the glass and stir. Fill with ice and then top with club soda. Garnish with a cucumber and fresh mint sprigs.

Salt the rim of a rocks glass with salt and crushed red pepper. Add simple syrup, pepper, sparkling water and

Ingredients:
1 oz Sallie’s Greatest Peach + Mint Simple Syrup
6 mint leaves
3 oz Bourbon
Put mint leaves and Sallie’s Greatest Peach + Mint Simple Syrup in a julep cup or low ball glass. Muddle. Fill glass with crushed ice. Pour bourbon over ice and stir. Garnish with mint leaves and peach slice if available.
Punch Style (Serves 12 – 24)
½ cup Sallie’s Greatest Peach + Mint Simple Syrup
1 & ½ quarts lemonade
1 cup Whiskey
Mix simple syrup, lemonade and Whiskey in a pitcher. Serve over ice in 6 or 9 oz glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves. Can also use a fresh peach slice when in season.

Ingredients:
½ oz Sallie’s Greatest Blackberry Spice + Sage Simple Syrup
2 oz whiskey
½ oz lemon juice
Splash orange juice
Splash cranberry juice
Put whiskey, Sallie’s Greatest Blackberry Spice + Sage Simple Syrup, lemon juice, OJ and Cranberry Juice in a shaker with ice, shake. Fill low ball glass with crushed ice. Pour over ice and stir. Garnish with a lemon slice.
]]>Trim and discard rind from Brie round. Cut Brie into slices. Spread one side of the bread with Sallie's Greatest Strawberry + Black Peppercorn Jam and the other slice with mayonnaise. Layer cheese on jam side, then top with strawberries, baby spinach, and lastly, turkey. Place the other piece of bread on top. Butter the outside of the bread. Gently place onto grill and close the lid or press. Cook until bread is browned and cheese is melted about 4-5 minutes.

Spread the Peach Pepper Ginger BBQ sauce on the Naan bread. Then top with mozzarella cheese, pulled pork, bacon and red onion. Reserve ¼ cup of cheese to top flatbreads. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 mins until cheese melts. Drizzle a little PPG BBQ sauce and sprinkle with the cilantro. Delicious!
Peach Pepper Ginger BBQ Sauce :
Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan. Cook on low for 20 mins to thicken. Let cool.
Fig Sweet Onion Rosemary Prosciutto Flatbread
Ingredients:
Spread a thin layer of Fig Sweet Onion + Rosemary Jam on the Naan bread. Then top with fontina and blue cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 mins until cheese melts. Make a salad with the Arugula, lemon juice, olive oil, salt & pepper. Top flatbread with Arugula salad, prosciutto and shaved Parmesan cheese. Drizzle with balsamic glaze. Cut and serve.
Blueberry Peach Goat Cheese Flatbread
Ingredients:
Spread Sallie’s Greatest Peach + Mint Jam on the Naan bread. Then top with Blueberries and pieces of Goat Cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 mins until cheese melts. Sprinkle with the fresh mint slices. Delicious! Perfect for a vegetarian appetizer.
